Process Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductor and display technologies. As a Process Engineer you will design and optimise manufacturing processes, collect and analyse data, perform hardware characterisation, troubleshoot engineering issues and generate technical documentation while collaborating with customers, vendors and R&D teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, collect data, analyse and compile reports on complex process‑engineering experiments for multiple products.
• Utilise techniques, define methods and apply new technologies to characterise hardware across many complex systems.
• Generate internal and external documentation, presentations, technical reports and process‑engineering specifications.
• Develop, plan and execute process‑engineering projects within safety guidelines.
• Train engineers in film‑property measurement techniques and guide them in data interpretation, new methodologies, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Communicate with customers to resolve a broad spectrum of complex process‑engineering issues with limited supervision.
• Design and implement new technology, products and analytical instrumentation.
• Identify, select and partner with vendors and suppliers, and lead functional teams or projects as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7‑10 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated conceptual and practical expertise in complex problem solving.
