Process Development Scientist – Sequencing

About the role

Plasmidsaurus is building high‑throughput sequencing products and needs a Process Development Scientist to bridge R&D and production. You will focus on scaling RNA‑seq workflows, removing bottlenecks and ensuring robust, high‑volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process development for production‑scale sequencing workflows, starting with RNA‑seq.
• Identify root causes of failures, design experiments and implement improvements to increase robustness, throughput and ease of operation.
• Partner with Production teams to reduce technician intervention and improve workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with R&D to embed manufacturability considerations into new product designs.
• Drive technology transfer from development to production, supporting smooth product launches and scale‑up.
• Work across Product, Bioinformatics, Automation, Commercial and Platform teams to solve complex technical challenges.
• Guide Research Associates and Laboratory Technicians as project needs evolve.

Required profile

• Proven experience in process development for sequencing or related biotech workflows.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with ability to pinpoint bottlenecks and design corrective experiments.
• Track record of collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑moving environment.
