Process Control Network and Windows System Administrator

About the role

The Process Control Network (PCN) and Windows Systems Administrator is a technical expert responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining the IT infrastructure that supports Industrial Control Systems. Based in New Orleans, the role requires on‑site presence at least three days a week and occasional travel to offshore platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Operate PCN cyber‑security controls, including patch management, antivirus, backup/restore, and asset inventory.
• Provide network and Windows system administration, workstation support, and break/fix services.
• Maintain logical network diagrams and asset inventories for PCN components.
• Design and implement data communication channels between systems.
• Develop and execute site‑specific procedures to ensure PCN security compliance.
• Perform site visits for remediation and verify control implementation.
• Provide on‑call after‑hours support and travel to offshore platforms (~8 trips/year).
• Design, implement, and review firewall rules in line with cyber‑security best practices.
• Monitor servers, networks, and communication equipment using tools such as SolarWinds and Splunk.
• Backup system configurations and ensure secure storage of backups.
• Review security logs, generate reports, and manage incident escalation and remediation.
• Implement change‑management and testing procedures for network and endpoint security.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of networking and Windows system administration experience.
• At least 3 years of IT security experience within Industrial Control Systems (OT) environments.
• Ability to obtain Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) certification and a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
• Willingness to travel offshore and provide on‑call support.
