Pro Shop Retail Assistant

About the role

The Pro Shop Retail Assistant supports the Retail Manager in delivering an exceptional shopping experience for members, guests, and team members. This role combines customer service, sales, and store operations in a fast‑paced, luxury environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Retail Manager with daily store operations and execution of retail procedures.
• Greet members and guests promptly, anticipate needs, and provide courteous, urgent service.
• Process sales, returns, and special orders using the point‑of‑sale system.
• Maintain store presentation: tidy apparel, proper tagging, steaming, and clean floor.
• Drive sales through relationship building, knowledge of brands, and awareness of promotions.
• Monitor inventory, conduct monthly reconciliations, and communicate stock needs to the Retail Merchandiser.
• Manage retail supplies, packaging standards, and special touches such as gift‑wrap.
• Answer phone calls professionally and redirect as needed.
• Support Member Services, Golf Operations, and Special Events when required.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of retail operations or customer‑service experience, preferably in a luxury or hospitality setting.
• Minimum six months of hospitality or fast‑paced service experience.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong interpersonal communication.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and variable hours.

Required skills

• Experience with point‑of‑sale systems (Jonus or TEI preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
