PRN Virtual MSK Physical Therapist (Compact State Preferred)

About the role

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver virtual musculoskeletal evaluation, triage, and care planning for RightMove, a virtual MSK care company partnered with the Hospital for Special Surgery. The position is a 1099 contract, working Monday‑Friday during Eastern Time business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct virtual musculoskeletal triage and follow‑up visits, assessing symptoms, functional limitations, and clinical risk.
• Apply clinical reasoning to determine appropriate recommendations within a virtual care model.
• Deliver evidence‑based virtual physical therapy interventions focused on functional improvement and symptom management.
• Develop individualized care plans aligned with patient goals and functional needs.
• Identify clinical needs requiring coordination and route tasks to Care Coordinators.
• Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers and other clinicians for medical escalation or specialty involvement.
• Communicate and coordinate with patients, care coordinators, APPs, and external referral sources to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation per regulatory and payer requirements.

Required profile

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE‑accredited program.
• Active, unrestricted physical therapy license in the state(s) where care will be delivered, preferably a PT Compact State.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience (preference for 5 years).
• Strong clinical reasoning and a patient‑first approach.
• Comfort practicing in a virtual environment, including remote evaluations and video‑based patient education.
