PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant – Central Texas

About the role

Rehab Solutions is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide home‑health visits across Central Texas, centered around Palestine, TX. You will work alongside an experienced OT and a supportive clinical and office team, enjoying flexible hours and a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering individualized therapy based on OT treatment plans, focusing on daily living skills such as dressing, eating, and mobility.
• Track and document patient progress accurately, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising OT.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including PT, nursing, and other OT staff—to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and strategies for independence.
• Lead or support patients in therapeutic activities, creating a positive and engaging environment.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) through NBCOT.
• Current Texas licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a COTA.
• Ability to work independently in patients’ homes while maintaining professional standards.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
