Private Equity Associate - Healthcare

About the role

We are a leading healthcare-focused private equity firm seeking a Private Equity Associate to join our investment team in San Francisco. The role offers extensive exposure to live transactions, portfolio company initiatives, and senior investment professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities across diverse healthcare subsectors.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and investment memoranda.
• Conduct commercial, financial, and operational due diligence.
• Assist in transaction execution, coordinating with management teams, lenders, and external advisors.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and support strategic value-creation initiatives.
• Perform industry and market research to uncover emerging investment prospects.

Required profile

• 1–4 years of experience in investment banking or private equity with a strong transaction record.
• Healthcare transaction experience preferred, though strong generalist candidates are considered.
• Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced investment environment.
