Private Equity Analyst/Associate

About the role

Join a leading global investment platform as an Analyst/Associate on the Principal Finance team. You will work on hybrid investing across structured equity, junior capital, and opportunistic private‑equity transactions, gaining high deal exposure and early responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end execution of structured equity, junior capital, and opportunistic private‑equity deals.
• Build and own advanced financial models for LBOs, structured equity, and downside scenarios.
• Lead diligence processes with management teams, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare investment materials and present analyses to senior decision‑makers.
• Evaluate opportunities across the capital structure with a focus on equity upside and risk‑adjusted returns.
• Support portfolio‑company monitoring and contribute to value‑creation initiatives.
• Synthesize complex information into clear, decision‑ready insights.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, leveraged finance, capital markets, private equity or private credit.
• Strong modeling capabilities across LBO, structured equity and scenario analysis.
• Ability to assess both credit risk and equity upside.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced deal environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present to senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree required; background from top‑tier investment banks, middle‑market platforms or established buy‑side funds.
• Interest in hybrid investing strategies and a motivation to grow into a long‑term investing/origination role.
