Privacy Program Analyst

About the role

The Privacy Program Analyst will support the Countywide Privacy Program, focusing on the protection and proper use of personally identifiable information (PII) across the agency. Reporting to the Chief Privacy Officer, the analyst will help ensure compliance with federal and California privacy regulations while assisting with policy development and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct privacy compliance audits and monitor ongoing adherence to privacy laws.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating privacy policies and procedures.
• Perform Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and third‑party vendor privacy risk assessments.
• Support breach investigation, notification actions, and remediation efforts.
• Maintain up‑to‑date privacy awareness training materials.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of federal and California privacy statutes.
• Ability to evaluate business scenarios against legal requirements.
• Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
