Principal Product Manager – Seller Acquisition

About the role

Big Cartel is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the Seller Acquisition product team. You will own the in‑product journey for new sellers from trial through their first orders, driving growth and retention in the first 90 days.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategy and roadmap for the first 90 days of the seller journey, covering trial, onboarding, shop discovery and first sales.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, growth marketing, product marketing and customer success to ship, measure and iterate quickly.
• Design, run and interpret experiments and A/B tests to improve conversion and activation.
• Partner with growth marketing to build product levers such as SEO, paid acquisition, social marketing and product‑led growth loops.
• Use data and direct customer insights to shape product and cross‑functional growth recommendations.

Required profile

• 10+ years of product management experience, with a focus on growth, activation or subscription conversion.
• Deep understanding of consumer acquisition economics – CAC, LTV, unit economics and cohort analysis.
• Proven ability to balance B2B and B2C product tensions and deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Strong analytical mindset, comfortable making data‑driven decisions while acting when data is limited.
• Passion for e‑commerce and building simple yet powerful user experiences.

Required skills

• Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and experiments.
• Proficiency with SEO, paid acquisition and social marketing channels.
• Data analysis and metric‑focused decision making.
