Principal Financial Analyst, International Markets Team

About the role

Capital One is looking for a motivated Principal Financial Analyst to join the International Markets (IM) Financial Planning & Analysis team. The role supports both IM and US Third Party Issuers, delivering accurate forecasts, analysis, and strategic insights that help business partners meet their financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly financial forecasts, budgeting, and variance analysis for IM and TPI organizations.
• Produce management reporting and ad‑hoc analysis for senior leadership across Finance and Global Payments Network.
• Develop business presentations that communicate results and strategic recommendations.
• Partner with business leaders to become a trusted strategic advisor, influencing financial decisions.
• Identify and challenge existing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Required profile

• Strong communication and influencing abilities.
• Analytical curiosity with solid problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage priorities and take full ownership of deliverables.
• Passion for continuous learning in both traditional FP&A and technical areas.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent military experience) and at least 4 years of financial analysis experience.
