Principal Facilities Electrical Engineer (High Voltage)

About the role

Bosch Group is expanding its semiconductor business in Roseville, CA, and seeks a Principal Facilities Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in high‑voltage systems. You will lead the commissioning, upgrade, and integration of medium‑voltage electrical infrastructure for a cutting‑edge silicon‑carbide fab, ensuring seamless operation and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup for facility upgrades, expansions, and new tool installations.
• Develop commissioning plans, validation protocols, and troubleshoot technical issues to achieve timely energization.
• Author, review, and approve electrical scopes of work, switching/LOTO schedules, and manage change orders, submittals, and RFIs.
• Provide electrical engineering support throughout project lifecycles, ensuring designs meet NEC, SEMI standards, corporate specifications, and power‑quality requirements.
• Validate voltage, current, grounding, and harmonic performance for new tool hook‑ups.
• Apply load‑shedding and restoration strategies to minimize risk during planned and unplanned outages.
• Champion electrical safety practices, especially for medium‑voltage operations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with medium‑voltage (up to 12 kV) electrical systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of safely executing complex electrical projects from design validation through energization.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, SEMI standards, and power‑quality considerations for sensitive equipment.
• Ability to develop and maintain SOPs, maintenance procedures, and emergency response plans.
