Principal Automation & AI Engineer

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Principal Automation & AI Engineer to lead the design and delivery of automation, AI, and analytics solutions that support its global Cloud & Infrastructure organization. The role focuses on building scalable engineering platforms that drive operational excellence, financial accountability, and data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy RPA workflows and AI/ML models to automate complex business processes across multiple technology teams.
• Create enterprise‑scale automation solutions for cloud services, infrastructure management, asset tracking, and cloud financial operations.
• Build AI‑powered copilots, intelligent agents and predictive analytics to improve routine operations and identify risks or optimization opportunities.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks, APIs, integrations and self‑service capabilities across technology platforms.
• Establish development standards, testing practices, security controls and governance processes for all automation and AI solutions.

Required profile

• 6‑9 years of progressive experience in automation engineering or software development, with at least 3 years focused on RPA, AI/ML or intelligent automation.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate with cross‑functional cloud and infrastructure teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a data‑driven mindset for operational insight.
