Principal AI Platform Infrastructure Architect

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Principal AI Platform Infrastructure Architect to own the enterprise architecture strategy for its agentic infrastructure domain. This senior individual‑contributor role will define technical direction, prototype emerging patterns, and guide adoption across the firm while collaborating with senior technology and business leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap for agent orchestration, identity, gateway, policy services, model‑hosting and agent‑runtime environments.
• Lead infrastructure decisions across programs and platforms, advising senior leaders and resolving escalations related to risk, cost, or cross‑domain trade‑offs.
• Establish architecture standards for security, resilience, observability, performance and cost management.
• Design and document complex multi‑domain initiatives, capturing technical decisions, dependencies and business impacts.
• Build prototypes and reference implementations to validate new patterns and set production criteria.
• Define operational readiness and lifecycle requirements for shared infrastructure components.
• Guide platform, security and infrastructure teams in adopting reusable patterns to reduce duplication.
• Mentor architects and engineers through reviews, technical guidance and reusable examples.

Required profile

• Proven experience shaping enterprise architecture for large‑scale, agent‑centric platforms.
• Strong advisory skills, able to influence senior stakeholders and resolve high‑impact escalations.
• Track record of hands‑on prototyping and translating concepts into production‑ready solutions.
• Ability to mentor and elevate the capabilities of architecture and engineering teams.
