Primary Care Physician – Geriatric Focus (65+)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking board‑certified family medicine, internal medicine or geriatric physicians who are passionate about caring for seniors. The position focuses on delivering holistic, patient‑centered care to adults aged 65 and older in Savannah, Georgia, within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide focused patient care with small panels to ensure individualized attention.
• Spend extended time with each patient for comprehensive consultations.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal health outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current in geriatric care.
• Deliver specialized, holistic care tailored to the unique needs of older adults.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date electronic patient records.
• Coordinate referrals and follow‑up care with specialists.

Required profile

• Board certification in family medicine, internal medicine or geriatrics.
• Demonstrated passion for improving the quality of life for elderly patients.

Required skills

• Experience with the EPIC electronic health record platform.
• Ability to document and manage patient records electronically.
