About the role

The U.S. Navy is seeking board‑eligible Preventive Medicine Physicians to join its Active‑Duty Medical Corps. This full‑time position supports the health and readiness of service members while offering unique career advancement opportunities unavailable in most civilian settings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead disease‑prevention and health‑promotion initiatives across military treatment facilities and operational environments.
• Develop and implement public‑health strategies that enhance force readiness and long‑term well‑being.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver mission‑first medical care without insurance barriers.
• Provide clinical care, epidemiologic surveillance, and health education to service members and their families.

Required profile

• MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school (or ECFMG certified).
• Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Preventive Medicine residency (or final‑year resident).
• Board‑eligible/board‑certified in Preventive Medicine (or final‑year resident).
• U.S. citizenship and age between 21 and 57 as required by Title 10.
