Press Operator – 2nd Shift Production

About the role

Hydro Extrusions is seeking a reliable Press Operator to join its 2nd shift team. You will work in a fast‑paced aluminium extrusion environment, operating a variety of machines to produce high‑quality components.

Key responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as mills, punch presses, deburring wheels, benders, saws, specialty machines, turning centers, and milling centers.
• Perform daily safety inspections, ensure guarding is in place, and report any concerns.
• Set up machines for production runs and read/interpret gauges (digital calipers, micrometers, protractors, custom gauges).
• Visually inspect workpieces before and after machining for defects.
• Maintain accurate job records on paper and in the computer system.
• Conduct quality‑control checks during operation and dispose of scrap and waste properly.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Understanding of safety, quality, and production processes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Operation of mills, punch presses, deburring wheels, benders, saws, specialty machines, turning centers, and milling centers.
• Proficiency with hand tools and gauging equipment (digital calipers, micrometers, protractors, custom gauges).
