President – Asphalt Paving & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking an accomplished President to lead our asphalt paving and maintenance division in Southern California. This senior executive will shape operational strategy, drive financial performance, and expand our market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for asphalt paving, milling, grading, and maintenance operations.
• Set operational priorities and align field leadership with support teams.
• Ensure projects meet specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Resolve logistical, weather, staffing, equipment, and material challenges.
• Oversee fleet and equipment utilization, maintenance, and capital planning.
• Develop and manage operating budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Monitor job costs, margins, production efficiency, and overall business‑unit performance.
• Approve major expenditures, capital investments, and vendor agreements.
• Recruit, develop, and retain high‑performing sales, estimating, project management, and field teams.
• Coach leaders and foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in asphalt paving or heavy civil construction.
• Strong track record of operational excellence and financial stewardship.
• Ability to balance hands‑on field involvement with strategic decision‑making.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with customers and internal teams.
