Job description
About the role
The Marketing Team at Shield AI is hiring a Slide Designer to turn rough content, outlines and stakeholder input into polished, presentation-ready slides in PowerPoint. The role focuses on storytelling through slides, balancing clarity, visual precision and executive-level polish, and works closely with marketing, business development, product marketing and solutions engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Turn rough content and stakeholder input into clear, compelling presentation decks with strong structure, hierarchy and flow.
- Own and maintain key PowerPoint assets, including templates, slide masters, reusable components and flagship product decks.
- Help evolve scalable template systems and slide libraries for consistency and efficiency.
- Use advanced PowerPoint features such as custom layouts, animations, transitions, charts and visual systems.
- Iterate quickly on feedback, handle high-volume fast-turn requests alongside strategic presentations, and keep files organized with version control.
- Handle sensitive or export-controlled material carefully when applicable.
Required profile
- Strong information-design skills, choosing the right visual form for quantitative, technical and conceptual information.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable PowerPoint templates, slide libraries and flagship product or sales decks.
- Ability to turn rough sketches, whiteboard concepts, technical diagrams and incomplete inputs into polished, brand-aligned visuals.
- Experience designing charts, process flows, system diagrams, timelines and frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder-intake skills: asking clarifying questions, identifying the intended takeaway and resolving gaps.
- A portfolio showing before-and-after transformations of complex content into effective visuals.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or another vector-design tool for custom graphics.
- Building reusable, editable visual components in PowerPoint, not just flattened artwork.
- Preferred: Excel-linked charts, Adobe Photoshop or Figma, and experience in technical, B2B, aerospace or defense environments.
