About the role

Jackson Hewitt is seeking enthusiastic entry‑level tax preparers to join its seasonal team. You will help individuals complete accurate federal and state tax returns while providing friendly guidance throughout the filing process.

Key responsibilities

• Explain tax forms and filing requirements to clients.
• Prepare and review accurate year‑end, multi‑year, and multi‑state tax returns.
• Submit electronic filings and provide printed copies for client signatures.
• Assist clients with IRS audit support and answer tax‑related questions.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all tax regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; no prior experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn tax preparation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during tax season.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
