Practice Manager – Physician Practice

About the role

The Practice Manager leads daily operations of a physician practice within Hackensack Meridian Health. This role ensures smooth coordination between clinical and clerical teams, drives patient satisfaction, and oversees financial and administrative functions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as liaison among the Practice Administrator, providers, and staff to promote teamwork and resolve issues.
• Oversee scheduling, registration, billing, collections, and purchasing while maintaining budget compliance.
• Monitor patient flow, address concerns, and implement measurable patient‑satisfaction initiatives.
• Coordinate facility maintenance, work orders, and property repairs.
• Develop and implement operational goals, policies, and procedures with the Practice Administrator.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and expense control.
• Supervise billing processes, ensure accurate data entry, charge posting, and compliance with reimbursement regulations.
• Generate and review financial reports, including daily deposits, productivity metrics, and monthly volume and revenue summaries.

Required profile

• Experience supervising clinical and clerical staff in a medical office setting.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and improve operational efficiency.
• Strong understanding of billing, reimbursement, and insurance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and administration.
