Practice Manager – Internal Medicine

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Primary Care Enterprise is seeking a full‑time Practice Manager to lead its General Internal Medicine practice in Miami. The role oversees daily operations, ensures efficient patient flow, and acts as a liaison between physicians, staff, and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical supervision to guarantee effective patient services.
• Maintain liaison with administrators, physicians, and external organizations.
• Prepare operational and financial reports, analyze trends, and recommend improvements.
• Develop and enforce operating policies in line with University regulations.
• Conduct staff meetings to ensure compliance with established practices.
• Monitor facility usage to increase efficiency and profitability.
• Oversee daily operations of the Internal Medicine practice, including scheduling, intake, and patient flow.
• Manage administrative and clinical support staff, including staffing models and workflow coordination.
• Optimize provider schedules and templates to improve access and visit utilization.
• Track key performance indicators such as fill rate, no‑show rate, and visit volume, implementing improvement strategies.
• Address patient concerns and service recovery to maintain a high‑quality patient experience.

Required profile

• Experience supervising clinical and administrative staff in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of University policies, medical technology trends, health‑insurance regulations, and government guidelines.
• Proven capability to analyze operational data and drive performance improvements.
