Practice Administrator, Orthopedics and Urgent Care

About the role
Join UT Health Tyler as a full‑time, day‑shift Practice Administrator overseeing six orthopedics clinic locations and an urgent‑care site in Three Lakes. You will support 15–20 providers and approximately 55 staff members, coordinating operations across Tyler and regional outreach clinics.
Key responsibilities
- Direct daily operations of multiple medical clinics.
- Monitor and improve financial performance, including billing, collections, revenue enhancement, and cost reduction.
- Lead the set‑up of new clinic locations as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and diagnostic support services.
- Manage timely physician credentialing and maintain current licensure and certification.
- Assist in developing annual operating and capital budgets and track monthly variances.
- Communicate regularly with physicians and clinic managers regarding operational matters.
- Provide leadership, evaluate products and services, and implement workload standards while adhering to UT Health policies, JCAHO requirements, and mission.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a minimum of 8 years of healthcare experience with a high school diploma.
- Experience in MSO operations with start‑up experience.
- Strong knowledge of clinic management information systems and involvement in data conversion processes.
- Prior experience with managed‑care contracting and capitation plan understanding.
- Preferred: LVN or RN clinical experience; MBA or MHA.
