Power BI Analyst / Developer (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Power BI Analyst / Developer to join our client’s Finance organization on a contract basis. You will design, build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that turn financial data into actionable insights for business leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and visualisations for finance stakeholders.
• Translate documented business requirements into scalable reporting solutions.
• Create and optimise data models, datasets and report performance within Power BI.
• Write and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, transformation and analysis.
• Work with Snowflake data‑warehouse environments to access and structure reporting data.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to validate data accuracy and reporting requirements.
• Troubleshoot report issues, data discrepancies and performance challenges.
• Ensure solutions follow best practices for usability, scalability and governance.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation and analysis.
• Experience working with Snowflake data‑warehouse environments.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, DAX and Power BI best practices.
• Proven ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate requirements into reporting solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
