Postdoctoral Scholar in Biophysical Ocean Modeling

About the role
The Postdoctoral Scholar will join the Biophysical Ocean Modeling Lab at LSU to conduct cutting‑edge research on oceanic processes. Working within a collaborative academic environment, the scholar will contribute to the lab’s scientific objectives and publish findings.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and analyze biophysical ocean modeling experiments (40%).
- Prepare scientific manuscripts, conference presentations, and reports (40%).
- Coordinate and train student research assistants (10%).
- Participate in professional development activities such as workshops (10%).
Required profile
- Ph.D. in a scientific discipline related to oceanography, environmental science, or a comparable field.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in research teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for scientific audiences.
