Postdoctoral Scholar – Electrolyte Spectroscopy Research

About the role

The Postdoctoral Scholar will lead research on the molecular structure and mechanisms that govern the macroscopic properties of bulk electrolytes. The work combines infrared ultrafast spectroscopy, electrochemical techniques, and theoretical collaboration to generate molecular‑level insights.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laboratory research (≈60% of time) including material preparation, spectroscopic and electrochemical characterization, and computational modeling.
• Develop new project ideas, design experiments, and propose innovative approaches.
• Write scientific manuscripts, contribute to grant proposals, and prepare project reports (≈30% of time).
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students and engage in collaborative activities (≈10% of time).

Required profile

• PhD in Chemistry or a closely related discipline.
• Ability to plan and execute independent experiments and work effectively within a research team.
• Strong scientific writing skills for manuscripts and proposals.
