Postdoctoral Research Associate – Waterfowl Ecology

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Monticello seeks a postdoctoral researcher to join the Snowden Waterfowl Center of Excellence. The role focuses on high‑impact publications, collaborative research, and development of competitive proposals in waterfowl and spatial ecology.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative analyses of wildlife movement and spatial ecology.
• Develop and manage GPS telemetry studies and animal movement datasets.
• Perform geospatial analyses using GIS, remote sensing, and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to produce peer‑reviewed publications.
• Assist in writing and submitting research grant proposals.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in wildlife science, landscape ecology, geospatial science, waterfowl ecology, or a closely related field.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary research environments.
