Postdoctoral Associate – Pediatric Research

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Pediatrics is seeking a full‑time Postdoctoral Associate to conduct scientific research and provide behavioral and developmental interventions for young children. The role blends rigorous research activities with direct service delivery in community settings across Miami‑Dade County.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assigned research projects, prepare technical reports and manuscripts for publication.
• Develop and evaluate the Pocket PCIT+AI conversational agent, including content creation, usability testing, and iterative improvements.
• Serve as project coordinator for the Pocket PCIT+AI study, overseeing IRB compliance, participant recruitment, data management, and team coordination.
• Provide in‑home and telehealth behavioral and developmental intervention services to children ages 0‑5, applying a parent‑coaching model.
• Make referrals to special education or early‑intervention services as needed.
• Design and lead a longitudinal follow‑up study to capture outcomes such as school readiness and grade retention.
• Develop strategies and digital tools to strengthen family engagement and connect families with community resources.

Required profile

• Post‑doctoral level researcher with experience in scientific investigation and data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to manage research projects, including IRB processes and participant coordination.
• Experience delivering behavioral or developmental interventions to young children.
