About the role
The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville seeks a Post Doctoral Fellow to advance research in Biological and Agricultural Engineering. This fixed‑term position supports a funded project aimed at developing innovative solutions for sustainable agriculture. The role is based on the Fayetteville campus and runs for a defined period aligned with the grant timeline.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct independent research and experiments in biological and agricultural engineering.
- Develop and test novel technologies for crop improvement.
- Collaborate with faculty, graduate students, and external partners on project objectives.
- Publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
- Prepare technical reports, grant proposals, and documentation.
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in laboratory techniques.
- Manage project budgets and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with industry partners in Northwest Arkansas.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Biological Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience in research methodology and data analysis.
- Experience with grant writing and funding acquisition.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and experimental design.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
