Porter / Groundskeeper – Union on Fletcher Student Living

About the role

The Porter/Groundskeeper will maintain the appearance and safety of the Union on Fletcher student‑living community in Tampa. Working closely with the service team, you will ensure common areas, grounds and amenities are clean, functional and welcoming for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris and pet waste, keeping all common areas tidy.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist with apartment turn‑overs.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify that pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions and address maintenance complaints.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety procedures and communicate effectively with residents and team members.
• Attention to detail and willingness to maintain high standards of cleanliness and curb appeal.
