Porter / Groundskeeper – Entry Level Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Porter / Groundskeeper to keep our apartment communities clean, attractive, and welcoming. This entry‑level position offers a pathway to a Maintenance Technician role for candidates who demonstrate dedication and a strong work ethic.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash, litter, and pet waste throughout the property.
• Maintain common areas, including hallways, lobbies, and outdoor spaces, ensuring they are tidy and presentable.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, and occasional painting.
• Assist the maintenance team with basic repairs and support tasks as needed.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor promptly.

Required profile

• Dependable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently while also collaborating with team members.
• Detail‑oriented and willing to perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks.
• Positive attitude and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
• Flexibility to take on varied duties across the property.

Required skills

What we offer

• Competitive hourly wage starting at $16.50.
• Quarterly performance bonuses and a $1,000 stay‑on bonus after 90 days of good standing.
