Porter – Community Maintenance

About the role

The Porter supports the overall appearance and safety of the Ascend Heartland community in North Las Vegas. Working closely with the service team, the Porter ensures common areas, amenities and grounds are clean, well‑maintained and welcoming for residents and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the property throughout the day, removing litter, debris and pet waste to keep all common areas tidy.
• Clear trash from vacant units before the make‑ready process and maintain storage and dumpster areas.
• Perform minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turnovers.
• Change locks according to company policy and verify that pool gates and other safety equipment function correctly.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions and address maintenance‑related complaints.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders and lift objects for extended periods.
• Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Attention to detail and willingness to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
