Poly Operator Assistant

About the role

The Poly Operator Assistant supports the packaging line by loading cases onto case erector machines, performing changeovers, and maintaining a clean work environment. This full‑time position is essential for keeping production running smoothly and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Load cases onto Case Erector, Wexxar, DynaCop, and Klea line elevator machines in the correct position.
• Monitor case inventory, communicate with Dry Supply, and prevent machine downtime.
• Perform sanitation and clean‑up tasks around assigned equipment.
• Rework bags or cases, strip product as needed, and remove damaged cases.
• Execute changeovers, break down unused cases, and hand‑tape cases that won’t run through the erector.
• Clear jams using proper Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Complete work requests (Blue Tickets) for mechanical attention and report equipment issues.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Less than high‑school education or up to one month of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to follow safety rules, perform LOTO, and work in a fast‑paced production environment.

Required skills

• Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) competency.
• Operation of Wexxar equipment.
• Operation of DynaCop equipment.
• Operation of Klea line elevator.
• Case erector machine handling and changeover.
