Poison Control Specialist

About the role

The Poison Control Specialist provides expert poison control and drug information services to patients, healthcare professionals, and the public within the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) health system.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to poison exposure inquiries via phone and electronic communication.
• Provide accurate drug information and toxicology guidance to clinicians and staff.
• Document cases in the poison control database and maintain up‑to‑date resources.
• Participate in education and outreach activities related to poison prevention and safe medication use.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care decisions.

Required profile

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Relevant clinical or scientific background in toxicology, pharmacy, nursing, or related field.
