Player Experience & Community Manager

About the role

Ghost Story Games is seeking a Player Experience & Community Manager to shape and nurture the community around its narrative-driven titles. You will lead social media, player engagement, and support initiatives, ensuring a vibrant and lasting relationship with our audience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for owned social media and community channels.
• Design player engagement programs to build a long‑lasting community.
• Create social media content, draft copy, and oversee asset production.
• Identify and maintain relationships with in‑house and external content creators.
• Build and manage a customer service solution, including onboarding a BPO and maintaining a run‑book.
• Draft and distribute newsletters and bespoke marketing emails.
• Define, track, and report on KPIs, player sentiment, and engagement metrics.
• Support playtesting operations, including onboarding testers and managing technical setups.
• Collaborate with the broader marketing team on campaign planning, research, and copywriting.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in video‑game community management.
• Has shipped at least two games on PC or console in a community‑manager capacity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Data‑driven decision making and willingness to challenge conventional wisdom.
• Deep familiarity with online and IRL gaming communities, especially for single‑player titles.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
