Player Care Coordinator, First Team

About the role

The Player Care Coordinator supports Sporting Kansas City’s First Team by providing off‑field assistance to players, staff and their families, helping them settle and thrive in Kansas City.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for players and families, offering guidance on banking, housing, transportation, schooling and other relocation needs.
• Assist international arrivals with English lessons, cultural assimilation and building trusted local networks.
• Support younger players with school coordination, character development, financial education and overall transition.
• Provide gameday assistance to player families and reserve players to enhance their stadium experience.
• Maintain professional relationships with internal and external partners and stay current on MLS and MLSPA policies.

• Strong organizational, communication and leadership abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, problem‑solver with a growth mindset and a passion for professional sports.
• High interpersonal skills to handle confidential situations with poise and diplomacy.
• Ability to work non‑traditional hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Fluent in English and Spanish (reading, writing and speaking).
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Calendar).
