Platform Automation Engineer – OpenShift

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Platform Automation Engineer specialized in OpenShift to join its Financial Services unit. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and maintaining automated container platforms for banking, wealth management, and insurance clients.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and document preventive recommendations.
• Evaluate client IT infrastructure, produce assessment reports, and support due‑diligence activities to identify maturity gaps.
• Design scalable, cost‑effective infrastructure solutions, review reusable components, and create technical documentation for deployed systems.
• Coordinate release schedules, execute deployments, conduct post‑deployment testing, and manage version control.
• Plan and execute maintenance windows, emergency fixes, and technology upgrades while ensuring seamless integration.
• Analyze performance data, support capacity planning, and drive system optimization.
• Conduct security checks, recovery drills, and compliance audits, implementing necessary security measures.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
• Experience in assessing and documenting IT infrastructure maturity.
• Proven ability to design and document scalable cloud‑native solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
