Plastic Surgeon – High Volume Breast & Reconstructive Practice

About the role

We are seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Plastic Surgeon to join a six‑physician, one PA‑C practice serving the Kaiser Permanente Oakland and Richmond campuses. The position offers a broad case mix that includes high‑volume breast reduction, breast reconstruction, transgender top surgery, and complex reconstructive procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform breast reduction, reconstruction, and transgender top surgery cases.
• Manage general and complex reconstructive surgeries referred by surgical colleagues.
• Participate in clinic, operating room, and on‑call duties, sharing call evenly among six surgeons.
• Evaluate free‑flap cases and assist microsurgeons; perform microsurgery if fellowship trained.
• Collaborate closely with a skilled PA‑C and fellow surgeons in a collegial group environment.

Required profile

• Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) Plastic Surgeon.
• Active California medical license.
• Comfortable with rounding, call coverage, and free‑flap evaluation.
• Team‑oriented mindset that values a supportive, non‑competitive group practice.

Required skills

• Breast reconstruction and reduction techniques.
• Transgender top surgery expertise.
• General and complex reconstructive surgery skills.
• Free‑flap assessment and microsurgical principles (if trained).
