Plasma Processing Technician

About the role

The Plasma Processing Technician is responsible for accurate sampling, testing, shipping, and storage of plasma collected from donors. Working under SOPs, you will ensure plasma quality and compliance while maintaining a safe laboratory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and transfer units to freezers following SOPs.
• Verify labeling accuracy and use sterile technique with heat sealers.
• Prepare and ship plasma units, completing required documentation.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures, reporting any equipment issues.
• Perform daily equipment calibration and record variances.
• Enter donor data into the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain a clean, well‑supplied work area and follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Handle confidential information and assist in other areas as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three months experience in a laboratory or warehouse environment (or equivalent).
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel and lift up to 25 lb.
• Willingness to work overtime and in a fast‑paced environment.
• Capability to follow oral and written instructions and maintain confidentiality.
