Plant Operations Finance Manager

About the role

The Plant Operations Finance Manager is responsible for directing all financial functions of the Opelousas manufacturing facility, including accounting, budgeting, cost control, and compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting functions such as G/L, AP, bill of materials, timekeeping, plant inventory, and 3PL interfaces, ensuring timely monthly closings.
• Develop and track operational metrics, analyze financial results, and provide actionable insights to plant leadership.
• Manage plant and 3PL inventory control staff, maintaining accurate records in JDE and related EDI files.
• Lead and develop the plant finance team, ensuring cross‑training, backup procedures, and a performance‑driven culture.
• Facilitate annual planning, operating and capital budgeting, and drive accountability for meeting financial targets.
• Audit internal controls, recommend system or policy improvements, and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Identify risks and opportunities, promote project management best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive financial experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate financial policies.
