Plant Manager

About the role

A growing food manufacturer is looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead a high‑volume, make‑to‑order production facility. This hands‑on, full‑P&L role oversees quality, safety, productivity and cost performance across a 90,000 sq ft plant with 12 production lines and 300+ employees.

Key responsibilities

• Develop short‑ and long‑range plans, processes and objectives for the plant.
• Lead, motivate and mentor facility managers to ensure timely, cost‑effective production.
• Monitor operating costs, report on financial performance and own all plant metrics.
• Ensure orders meet specifications and quality standards.
• Drive policy deployment for employee involvement, cost reduction, safety and customer satisfaction.
• Identify, communicate and implement capital investments and improvement projects.
• Manage compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Oversee operations, maintenance, scheduling and warehouse functions, recommending efficiency gains.
• Develop and manage production goals and KPIs for quality, yield, productivity, safety and efficiency.
• Act as backup for Operations, Quality, Regulatory and Supply Chain managers as needed.

Required profile

• 10 + years of manufacturing management experience, including 5 years in a leadership role with direct reports.
• 5 + years managing in a Lean environment (Six Sigma, TPM or related).
• 5 + years working closely with Quality Assurance, Accounting, Scheduling and HR.
• Background in food or food‑ingredient manufacturing.
• Full P&L management experience.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and continuous‑improvement methodologies.

• Base salary $195K–$250K per year
