Plant General Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The company, a leading manufacturer, is looking for a Plant General Manager to lead a high‑volume facility in Georgia. This senior leadership position is responsible for delivering results across safety, quality, delivery, cost and people (SQDCP) while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations to meet SQDCP targets.
• Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost productivity and efficiency.
• Develop and execute production plans, budgets and operational strategies aligned with business goals.
• Build, coach and develop cross‑functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety and excellence.
• Partner with engineering and senior leadership to implement new technologies, capital projects and long‑term growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with responsibility for plant, operations or production management.
• Proven success applying Lean Manufacturing and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Experience managing budgets, capital projects, production planning and operational performance.
• Strong leadership, communication and team‑development abilities; experience in automotive, heavy equipment, metals or industrial manufacturing is preferred.
