Plant Director

About the role

Ocean Spray is seeking a Plant Director to lead all plant operations, including blending, production, and on‑line quality. The role focuses on maximizing resources, achieving customer satisfaction, and meeting productivity and economic goals while maintaining strong labor‑management relations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, evaluate and manage plant performance indicators such as safety, line efficiencies, budget variance and product quality.
• Hire, evaluate and develop subordinates, providing opportunities for initiative and judgment.
• Create and maintain positive labor/management relations and drive engagement.
• Communicate operational status to local and corporate staff, recommend and implement improvements.
• Provide information and advice to the Manufacturing Director and represent the plant as needed.
• Participate in plant and corporate projects, assuming leadership roles when appropriate.

Required profile

• BS/BA in business administration, industrial engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of management/supervisory experience in food/beverage manufacturing plants.
• Experience managing in union and non‑union environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to influence, lead teams and work independently.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety regulations.
• Familiarity with FDA and USDA compliance requirements.
• Understanding of manufacturing operations and performance metrics.
