Plant Controller

About the role

The Plant Controller will ensure accurate plant‑level financial reporting and provide financial leadership to manufacturing and operations teams at Argon Medical. This position partners closely with plant operations to drive cost control, efficiency, and financial performance in a regulated medical device environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full plant month‑end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and variance analysis.
• Analyze manufacturing performance, standard costs, material usage, labor, and overhead to support operational decisions.
• Oversee plant Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, aiming to meet DSO and A/P day targets.
• Prepare cash forecasts and assist with cash‑flow planning for operational activities.
• Review and approve A/P invoices, disbursements, and payroll related to plant operations.
• Support budget preparation for SG&A and manufacturing cost centers and update operational forecasts.
• Serve as primary finance contact for external audits and 401(k) audit activities.
• Provide financial analysis for capital spending, productivity initiatives, and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience supporting manufacturing operations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to translate financial results into operational insights.
