Planning Analyst

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Planning Analyst to join the Operations Planning team at its Torrance, CA plant. You will help align production schedules with customer demand, forecasts, and inventory while supporting a 9/80 work schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and adjust production schedules to match orders, forecasts, and inventory levels.
• Monitor planning KPIs and advise leadership on alignment opportunities.
• Collaborate with Production, Program Management, and Supply Chain to resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Set planning flags in the ERP system and act as a subject‑matter expert on MRP/ERP/SAP changes.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Supervision to ensure workable schedules and correct work‑order discrepancies.
• Analyze part requirements, expedite items, and generate reports for internal teams and customers.
• Support the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team by keeping part‑planning parameters up to date.
• Train new employees and contribute to ongoing training initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• Experience with production planning, data analytics, and manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
