PK4 Teacher – International Baccalaureate (IB)

About the role

The PK4 Teacher will deliver International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum to early‑learning students, planning and implementing inquiry‑based lessons that meet IB and state standards. Working closely with the IB coordinator and specialist teachers, the role supports the school’s vision and learning improvement goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with IB and state standards.
• Collaborate with the IB coordinator to develop units of inquiry, curriculum goals, and assessment timelines.
• Support fellow teachers in implementing the established curriculum and integrate digital platforms such as Seesaw, Engage and Google Workspace.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, administer formative and summative assessments, and communicate outcomes to parents.
• Monitor student behavior and safety across all school environments, adhering to the school’s discipline and safeguarding policies.
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities to enhance student achievement.
• Model the IB learner profile and advocate for the school’s mission, vision and philosophical commitments.

Required profile

• Experience teaching early‑childhood or primary grades within an IB framework.
• Strong collaboration skills with coordinators, specialist teachers, parents and school staff.
• Commitment to the school’s vision, mission and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Ability to evaluate classroom effectiveness using multiple sources of evidence.
