Physician – PM&R (PRN) – Inpatient Rehabilitation

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to join the inpatient rehabilitation team at the Northshore Rehabilitation Hospital in Lacombe, LA. This PRN position provides long‑term acuity care in a 30‑bed facility.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services for patients with brain or spinal cord injury, cardiac conditions, cancer, neurological disorders, orthopedic trauma, and stroke.
• Participate in a shared call schedule (1:4) for 7‑10 days per month, including one weekend, remaining reachable by phone during call periods.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Ability to work a Monday‑Friday 8 am‑4 pm schedule and be available for on‑call duties as described.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Medical licensure in Louisiana (or eligibility to obtain).
