Physician - Interventional Pain

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Pain Management Physician (Anesthesiology or PM&R fellowship trained) to join its expanding Interventional Pain Medicine program in the Lafayette region. This role offers the opportunity to practice comprehensive chronic pain management across outpatient and peri‑operative settings within a collaborative, innovative, and academically oriented health system.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Perform a full spectrum of interventional pain procedures.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for outpatient and peri‑operative care.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens appropriately.
• Document all patient encounters in Epic in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high‑quality care.
• Request additional evaluations, testing, or referrals as needed.
• Ensure accurate coding and compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and licensing standards.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Pain Management (Anesthesiology or PM&R fellowship).
• Ability to practice comprehensive chronic pain management in both outpatient and peri‑operative settings.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with multi‑specialty teams and internal referral networks.
