Physician – Hematologic Malignancies & Cell Therapy (Multiple Myeloma)

About the role

Ochsner Health’s MD Anderson Cancer Institute is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible physician specialized in hematologic malignancies and cellular therapy, with a focus on multiple myeloma. The role joins a robust clinical program that includes stem cell transplantation and CAR‑T cell therapy, and offers protected time for academic and investigational activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care for patients with myeloid neoplasms, plasma cell disorders, and those undergoing autologous or allogeneic stem cell transplantation.
• Lead and participate in CAR‑T cell therapy programs, including commercial products and active clinical trials.
• Develop and conduct clinical research studies, and contribute to multi‑institutional trials in partnership with MD Anderson.
• Teach and mentor fellows and residents within the BMT section.

Required profile

• Board certified or board eligible in hematology and oncology.
• Experience or strong interest in myeloid neoplasms, plasma cell disorders, stem cell transplantation, and cellular therapy.
• Commitment to academic pursuits with protected research time.

Required skills

• CAR‑T cell therapy administration and management.
• Stem cell transplantation (autologous and allogeneic).
• Cellular therapy techniques and protocols.
