Physical Therapy Assistant – Senior Living (Part‑time)

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a part‑time Physical Therapy Assistant to provide one‑on‑one therapy visits to adult and geriatric clients in senior living communities throughout Ocean County, NJ.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver individualized care.
• Provide skilled PT treatments such as therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, and mobility interventions.
• Monitor client progress, document observations in BAYADA’s EMR, and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
• Educate clients, families, and caregivers on exercises, safety strategies, and rehabilitative care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support positive outcomes.

Required profile

• Current New Jersey PTA license.
• Graduate of an APTA‑approved PTA program or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel to senior living sites.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
